A Michelin Star Chef always tastes his own food to ensure that everything is seasoned just right. The early version of Chef was produced with red sauce on the spoon in 1979. This version was only available for short period of time.
Chef can be found with many different shades of brown used for the spoon. Generally the dark brown spoons were made in Hong Kong where as the lighter brown spoons were made in West Germany.
Chef has been produced in the years, 1979 – 1986, 1991 – 1994, 1997 – 1998, 2011 as part of decade box set 1970 – 1979 and in 2013. Chef has the Schleich reference number 20042
